Oral Presentation Rules

  • The deadline to submit the team oral presentation is 11:59 p.m. April 23rd.  Presentations must be emailed to or shared with (via Google Drive)  deenvirothon@gmail.com by the deadline.

  • Please refer to the Delaware Envirothon website at delawareenvirothon.org for the oral presentation scenario and any updated training information.

  • Presentations should be 7 to 10 minutes long and no longer than 20 slides. The slide count includes the title slide and slides for citations of reference material.

  • All five team members must participate as presenters.

  • Presentation files should be saved as Microsoft PowerPoint (PPT) version 2010 or newer, or Google Slides (GLSIDES).  Presentation files must be named as follows using your registered team name:  “2024 Oral Presentation – Registered Team Name”.

  • No sounds, video clips, videos, or slide transition animations will be allowed in the presentation.

  • PowerPoint presentations are final at the time of submission. No changes can be made.  If there is a problem with the file, the Oral Presentation Committee will reach out to the Team Advisor.

  • Teams must bring a flash drive of their presentation to the competition. This must be turned in at registration and will be returned to the team after the competition.  

  • 3 x 5 notecards are permitted for use during the presentation and must also be turned in at registration, and returned to the Oral Presentation Committee after the team’s presentation.

  • A laptop computer (with your presentation preloaded), projector and slide advancer will be provided in the presentation room.
